Field of Dreams 18 X 24 Pressed Flowers Limited Edition print

A signed and numbered limited edition print. The original was made out of real wildflowers grown

by me in my wildflower garden. Poppies, bachelor buttons, cosmos and many other flowers used!

This is the first print that I ever had published in 1998. All of the flowers that I used came from my wildflower garden. I pressed and dried these flowers over a 3 month

period. Every flower is done differently. I have developed my process through trial and error and my passion to 'bring nature indoors'.

I worked on this design for over 2 weeks, adding here and there to create my desired design. There are over 50 different varieties of wildflowers in this piece. Larkspur, poppies, cosmos,

bachelor buttons, being the most predominant. When I finally satisfied with my design, I sealed the piece using a process that I developed. I then sent the original to a professional printing company. They had never worked with art such as mine and at first were hesitant, but agreed to give it a shot. This was a costly endeavor for me but well worth it. They captured my artwork perfectly! I had an edition size of 500 printed and signed and numbered each one once I got them from the printing company. At the present time I have less than 50 left.

It was a success and encouraged me to keep coming out with new works to also be published. My love and respect for nature is reflected in my art!
